CONTACT: Hank Barton, (413) 527-4568 The Southampton Master Plan Committee will hold an open house on Thursday, March 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM to unveil the final draft of "Southampton 2030: The Community's Master Plan." A brief presentation will be given at 7:00 PM. Light refreshments will be available. More than 200 residents and town officials have participated in master plan activities during the past two years, including workshops and community meetings. Their preferences and recommendations are presented in the plan, along with detailed information about Southampton's infrastructure, housing, land use and development patterns. "Southampton 2030" recommmends several geographic areas in which the town may wish to focus its planning eforts for land protection, sidewalk and mobility improvememnts, new housing and commercial development in the coming years.
